Description / Scope of Work
The Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Government of Punjab, invites expressions of interest from private livestock farm owners for the establishment of 07 FMD compartments in Punjab during the year 2026-27 under the ADP Scheme CM Panjab Progressive Agriculture Package. The compartments are designed for the control and eradication of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) in Punjab. This initiative seeks to engage private livestock enterprises in establishing bio-secured compartments that will support FMD vaccination with FMD susceptible animals and facilitate tagging of large animals within a 3 km buffer zone around notified compartments in Punjab province.
Eligible applicants must meet several knock-down criteria including installation of a gated boundary wall with bio-security measures at entrance, establishment of a separate quarantine unit for new or sick animals located minimum 500 meters from main shed, maintenance of minimum herd size of 300 large animals (cattle/buffalo), and provision of proper animal housing facilities with adequately ventilated sheds. Applications that do not fulfill these mandatory requirements will be rejected without further consideration. Applicants must hold valid CNIC and provide certified copies of land ownership or lease records with documented proof of farm infrastructure including quarantine unit dimensions, boundary wall specifications, and herd size.
Application forms must be submitted to the office of Director General (Extension), Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Livestock Complex, 16-Cooper Road, Lahore by 22 June 2026. Forms can be downloaded from the Departmental website www.livestock.punjab.gov.pk or obtained from the Director General office during office hours. Farm owners will submit written consent on judicial paper to maintain buffer zones and continue disease control measures for up to five years following FMD compartment notification. The department reserves the right to reject any or all applications without reason. For further information and certifications, applicants should contact the Director General at the specified extension during office hours.
