Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highway Department invites tenders from registered engineering firms and contractors for two major schemes under the PPRA E-Tendering System. The first scheme involves special repair of Gulistan Colony Lane No.3 Tehsil and District Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of PKR 12.196 million and completion period of three months. The second scheme concerns construction of underpass and flyover at Jinnah Park (near Pottery Chowk) on Airport Road Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of PKR 4.216 million and material supply, fabrication and installation of pre-fabricated structures on Katchery Chowk Main Road Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of PKR 0.085 million, also with three-month completion timeline. Both projects are located in Rawalpindi district, Punjab.
Eligible contractors and firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and registered on the Punjab PPRA website (www.punjab.ppra.gov.pk) prior to bid submission. As per PPRA Rule-2014 Clause 27, all intending contractors must upload the earnest money in the form of CDR in favour of the Executive Engineer Highway Division Rawalpindi at two percent of estimated cost, submitted half an hour before the opening date and time. Performance security guarantee of five percent of bid amount must be submitted within fifteen days of receipt of Letter of Acceptance in the form of Cashier Cheque, Pay Order or Bank Guarantee. Bidders must quote item rates and total amount against each item and the grand total in financial proposal; rates above or below the approved cost will not be considered.
Bid documents can be obtained from the office of Commissioner on 30th June 2026 at 02:30 PM, where all bids will be retrieved and the successful bidder announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. The tender documents are available on the PPRA website (http://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/ViewTender.aspx). Response time is calculated exclusively from the date of publication on the website. All contractor claims must be submitted electronically. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids prior to acceptance under Clause 35 of PPRA Rule-2014.
