Description / Scope of Work
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) invites electronic bids from eligible manufacturers, authorized dealers, suppliers, joint ventures and firms for the procurement of fire vehicles of various types, aerial ladder platform snorkel type and additional equipment for the modernization of KMC Fire Brigade Department in accordance with recognized international standards (EN/NFPA). The project is valued at 230.7 million Pakistani rupees and includes post-warranty operation and maintenance services spanning five years with preventive maintenance. This international competitive bidding is conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (e-PADS) under the Single Stage Two Envelope procurement method as per Sindh Public Procurement Rules, 2010 (Amended). The tender is open to manufacturers and suppliers with relevant experience, financial capability and technical expertise to deliver modern firefighting equipment meeting international safety and performance standards.
Eligible bidders must have demonstrable experience in supplying fire vehicles and related equipment, sound financial standing, and necessary certifications for international trade. Bid security of 230.7 million Pakistani rupees must be submitted in the form of a pay order, demand draft or bank guarantee in favour of the Project Director, Local Government Project and is refundable. The tender cost of Rs. 3,000/- is payable to the Project Director and is also refundable. Bidders are required to register with the e-PADS system prior to submission of their bids and must ensure all documentation is complete and properly signed by authorized representatives.
Bidding documents are available for download from the e-PADS portal at www.portalsindh.eprocure.gov.pk or through respective e-PADS dashboards. Bids must be submitted electronically through e-PADS on or before 3rd August 2026 at 1 pm, with opening scheduled for 3rd August 2026 at 2 pm. A scanned copy of bid security must be uploaded with the electronic bid submission, while the original bid security document must be physically delivered to the office of Director Contract Management, Room 12, 2nd Floor, KMC Head Office, MA Jinnah Road, Karachi before the deadline. Any bid lacking the original bid security within the prescribed timeframe will be rejected.
