Description / Scope of Work
The GE (Navy) Logistics Karachi, operating under Pakistan Navy Military Engineer Services, invites applications for pre-qualification of firms and contractors to undertake thirty miscellaneous works across multiple naval installations in Sindh. The scope encompasses repair, maintenance, replacement, provision and installation works at PN Dockyard, NSSD Area, HQ COMLOG, VSD PNS Karsaz, KNCRE Lyari and other facilities. Works include miscellaneous repairs and maintenance of dockyard structures, water supply systems overhauling, electrical repair and replacement, furniture provision and installation, roof treatment works, and turnkey (TC) construction works for building and road infrastructure in various sectors, with or without decoration elements. The tender encompasses a comprehensive portfolio of naval estate maintenance and upgrade activities.
Eligibility is restricted to firms and contractors on the approved MES contractors list according to contractual limit, or those from other Government Departments with demonstrated experience in similar works. Applicants must furnish valid GST Registration Certificate, National Tax Number or CNIC for online verification, personnel details (skilled and unskilled), machinery and equipment inventory, and bank statements. Contractors not borne on the MES approval list or those suspended due to non-deposit of enhanced standing security must deposit earnest money equal to two percent of estimated bid cost as Fixed Deposit Receipt pledged to GE (Navy) Logistics Karachi, subject to security clearance; this amount is refundable if pre-qualification is unsuccessful or the tender is not secured.
Applications for pre-qualification must be submitted by 7 August 2026. Tender documents containing specifications, drawings and un-priced bill of quantities abstracts may be collected free of charge from GE (Navy) Logistics Karachi during working hours by contacting telephone 021-32313078. All tenders must be submitted by 17 August 2026 at 1100 hours and will be opened the same date at 1200 hours; no tenders received after 1100 hours will be accepted. Applicants must provide documented evidence of similar works executed during the preceding two years, including sponsoring agency details, work amounts, completion periods, physical completion dates, progress percentages and performance reports from clients. The accepting officer reserves the right to reject any or all bids without obligation to justify grounds for rejection.
