Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General Procurement (Army) near 502 Central Base Workshop EME on Main Adyala Road Rawalpindi invites sealed tenders from reputed firms holding NTN certificates for supply of battery systems and rechargeable cells. The procurement comprises seven separate contracts for battery secretary lead acid units in various voltage and ampere-hour specifications (165 AH, 100 AH, 120 AH, 140 AH, 180 AH, and 200 AH at 12 volts) in polypropylene containers, with quantities ranging from 1,144 to 4,399 units per contract and delivery periods of three to four months. Additionally, two import contracts are invited for lithium-ion rechargeable cells (4.2V, 5000mAh, applicable to RBS-70 missile systems) and six-cell battery packs in quantities of 832 and 680 units respectively. All procurement is conducted under Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules, with firms cautioned against exorbitant pricing.
Eligible firms must possess valid NTN certificates issued by the Central Board of Revenue and registration certificates from the Directorate General Defence Production. Bidders are required to submit photocopies of registration and NTN certificates, bank statements covering the last one year, proof of moveable and immoveable property, valid CNIC photocopies, and for FOB contracts, valid agency agreements. Non-manufacturing firms and agents must provide justifiable proof or certificate of manufacturing capability or a verified certificate from the original manufacturer. All participating firms must deposit Challan Form No. 32A worth Rs. 2,000 into Government Treasury (Major Head C02501-20, Main Head 12, Sub Head A Misc, Code Head 1/845/30) separately for each tender in favour of CMA (DP) Rawalpindi. For import tenders, a bid security of 5 percent of the quoted value (maximum Rs. 1 million) through bank draft or pay order is required as earnest money, and offers must remain valid for 120 days from the date of commercial bid opening. Performance bank guarantees of 10 percent of contract value are due within 30 days of contract signing.
Tender documents and detailed specifications are available from DGP (Army) upon submission of required documentation. The first batch of tenders (items a–c) closes for document collection on 19 August 2026, with submission at 09:30 hours and opening at 10:00 hours on 20 August 2026. The second batch (items d–g) closes on 24 August 2026, with submission and opening on 25 August 2026 at the same times. Import tenders (items a and b) have a collection deadline of 26 August 2026, with submission and opening on 26 and 28/31 August 2026 respectively at 11:00 hours.
