Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highways Department invites sealed tenders from registered engineering firms and contractors for special repair and restoration of a breached section of the Buchokey par to Sheikh da Tool road in Nankana Sahib district. The project covers restoration of a 500 running feet road section with an estimated contract value of PKR 21.522 million and is to be completed within two months. Tenders are being invited through the Punjab PPRA e-tendering system, with all bids to be submitted electronically on the designated portal.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant categories with a valid, renewed PEC license for the financial year 2026-27. Contractors must also be registered on the Punjab PPRA website at http://ep.punjab.gov.pk. Bid security of 5 percent of the estimated cost (PKR 1.076 million) must be submitted exclusively in the form of a CDR in favour of the Executive Engineer Highways Division Nankana Sahib. Successful bidders will be required to submit a 10 percent performance guarantee within 15 days of receiving the offer letter in the form of CDR, bank draft, cashier cheque, pay order, or bank guarantee.
Bidders must quote item rates and grand totals in their financial proposals; percentage-based quotations will not be accepted and will render bids non-responsive. Bid closing date is 26 August 2026 at 11:00 AM, with tender opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the Office of the Commissioner, Lahore Division. All responsive bids will be downloaded and rates of successful bidders announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. No price variation will be admissible under the contract terms.
