Description / Scope of Work
The National Highway Authority (NHA), Punjab-North Region, Central Zone, invites electronic bids from eligible construction contractors for four major projects totalling approximately 160 million rupees. The primary contract is for construction of an auditorium and mosque within the premises of the NHA Zonal Office in Lahore, valued at Rs 97.86 million and requiring PEC Category C-4 and above certification. Three supplementary special maintenance contracts on National Highway N-5 include repair and maintenance of two existing overhead steel bridges at Lala Musa (Rs 15.89 million), service road rehabilitation in the same corridor (Rs 17.58 million), and construction of new jersey barrier fencing (Rs 28.38 million), each requiring PEC Category C-5 and above. All works are located in Punjab, with the auditorium project based in Lahore.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue as active taxpayers, hold current Income Tax Department registration, and possess valid Pakistan Engineering Council certification for the year 2027. Bid security equivalent to 2 percent of each contract's engineer's estimate must be submitted as a postal order or cheque drawn in favour of National Highway Authority (Road Maintenance Fund-Security Deposit). Bidders providing unsubstantiated or incorrect information shall face disqualification and potential legal action, and any firms with default records are ineligible.
Bidding documents are available free of charge on the NHA website at www.ebidding.nha.gov.pk. Electronic bids must reach the NHA office at Shahpur Interchange, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Lahore, on or before 15 September 2026 by 1230 hours. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 1300 hours in the presence of bidders or their representatives. All firms are strongly advised to obtain EPADS (PPRA) registration at www.eprocure.gov.pk immediately, as manual hard-copy submissions will be eliminated in future procurements.
