Description / Scope of Work
Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Chichawatni invites sealed bids for the local purchase of medicines and disposable surgical items on SSP funds for the financial year 2026-2027, extendable for three months from July to September 2027. The estimated contract value is PKR 15,000,000. This procurement is open to eligible firms, agencies, and pharmacies with a valid retail drug sale license operating in Sahiwal District. The tender covers separate bids for multinational company medicines, national company medicines, and disposable surgical items, evaluated on the basis of maximum discount from retail price as notified by the Drug Control Wing.
Eligible bidders must be financially sound entities involved in institutional pharmacy business, chain of pharmacies, distributors, or medical stores. The pharmacy must be located within Sahiwal District as per Latest Local Purchase Guidelines 2026. Bidders must submit a 2% bid security online via 1Link in the form of a CDR, Pay Order, or Demand Draft from any scheduled bank. Essential documentation includes a valid Pharmacy License on Form 9, Category-A Pharmacist Registration Certificate, NTN and Sales Tax registration certificates, bank statements for one to two years, and an affidavit confirming the firm is not blacklisted and has no history of violations under the Drug Act 1976 or DRAP Act 2012. Additional requirements include experience certificates from public institutions, free replacement certificates, price reasonability certificates, and warranty certificates per Drug Act clause 23(1)(i).
Bidding documents are available for download from the Punjab e-Procurement website and the PPRA Punjab website (www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk). Bids must be submitted online via the Punjab e-Procurement System with the closing date and time set for 17 September 2026 at 10:00 AM. Bid opening will occur on the same date at 10:30 AM at the office of the Medical Superintendent, THQ Hospital Chichawatni. Bidders should submit their best and final prices as no negotiations will be conducted. All applicable taxes will be deducted per government rules.
