Description / Scope of Work
Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Chichawatni invites sealed bids for the local purchase of medicines and disposable surgical items for the financial year 2026-2027, with an estimated contract value of PKR 12,000,000 and an extension option of three months from July 2027 to September 2027. The contract covers supply of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables to the health facility in Punjab province. Bidding shall be conducted through the Punjab e-Procurement online system as per the Punjab Procurement Rules 2014, amended up to March 10, 2021, and is open to all eligible bidders. Separate bids will be evaluated for multinational companies, national companies medicines, and disposable surgical items on the basis of maximum discount from retail price.
Eligible bidders must include firms, agencies or institutions engaged in institutional pharmacy business, chain pharmacies, pharmaceutical distributors or medical stores holding a valid retail drug sale license. Bidders are required to submit a bid security of 2 percent of the estimated amount through digital PSID (1 Link). Additional eligibility requirements include valid pharmacy license on Form 9, renewal or registration certificate of a Category-A pharmacist, sales tax and income tax registration certificates, bank statements for the preceding one to two years, an affidavit confirming no blacklisting or violations under the Drug Act 1976 or DRAP Act 2012, experience certificates from public hospitals or institutions, and warranty certificates. The bidder's Central Drug Store Location (CDSL) must preferably be located within the tehsil or town and must not be outside the health facility district as per local purchase guidelines.
Bid documents must be submitted via the Punjab e-Procurement online system with a closing date of 17 September 2026 at 09:00 AM and opening at 09:30 AM on the same date in the office of the Medical Superintendent. Interested bidders may obtain further information and bidding documents from the office of the undersigned or via the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. Bidders are requested to provide best and final prices as no negotiations are expected. Taxes will be deducted as per applicable government rules.
