For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
PKLI&RC Rawalpindi is prequalifying suppliers for eight ultrasound machines across four specialized lots, ranging from advanced AI-based Doppler systems to general-purpose units.
The procurement indicates a new 250-bed tertiary healthcare facility establishing diagnostic imaging capacity. This represents a substantial capital acquisition rather than recurring purchase. The September 2026 deadline suggests moderate preparation time; bidders must meet both technical capability and financial credibility thresholds to proceed to formal bidding. The inclusion of AI-based and dispersion-technology systems signals demand for modern, high-specification equipment.
Who can bid: The notice does not specify PEC category, registration requirements, or financial thresholds explicitly. Typically, medical device suppliers must be registered with SECP, hold valid NTN, and possess relevant regulatory approvals from Pakistan's relevant health authority. Bidders are expected to demonstrate experience supplying comparable ultrasound equipment to hospitals. Local representation and after-sales service capability are typically required.
