Description / Scope of Work
District Council Chakwal invites sealed bids for execution of six infrastructure works projects within Chakwal District and Talagang under the 2026-27 financial year. The works comprise rehabilitation of the road from Chohan Village Main Bridge to Village Hasola (estimated cost Rs 72.514 million), construction of a vented causeway at Village Chak Baqar Shah (Rs 24.910 million), construction of a road and nullah from Government Boys School to Main Road at Village Lilyandi (Rs 10.097 million), construction of a road from Jhelum Road to H/O Malik Mazhar Hussain in Village Saigalabad (Rs 9.999 million), construction and rehabilitation of sewerage system in Village Mohra Sheikhan (Rs 9.998 million), and reconstruction of street and drain from Market Haji Dilawar through various houses in Village Thanil Fatohi (Rs 4.630 million). Total approximate project value exceeds Rs 132 million. Bidding is conducted through the E-P System under the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure per Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 and is open to all eligible registered contractors.
Contractors must be registered on E-PADS for 2026-27 and possess current MRRS certification at the time of bid submission. Each bid requires a bid security (5 per cent of estimated cost) from a scheduled bank in Punjab submitted electronically by the closing deadline. If the lowest bidder's rates are equal to or less than 5 per cent below estimated cost, an additional 10 per cent performance security of the contract amount must be deposited within 15 days of acceptance letter issuance per Punjab Local Government (Works) Rules 2017. Bids must contain item-wise clearly readable rates; incomplete, ambiguous, or unfilled bids will be rejected. Non-responsive, non-readable, corrupted, virus-infected, unsigned or unstamped submissions are ineligible.
Bidding documents are available free of cost at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/ and on the PPRA Punjab website. All six projects share the same closing date and time: bids must be submitted through the E-P System by 11:00 AM PST on 29 September 2026, with opening scheduled for 11:30 AM PST the same day at the District Council Chakwal office. Upon issuance of the acceptance letter, successful contractors must execute an agreement on government-specified stamp paper within seven days for work order issuance. Submission of forged or fake documents will result in disqualification and blacklisting.
