Description / Scope of Work
The Gilgit-Baltistan Communication & Works Department invites sealed tenders for three separate contracts involving repair and maintenance of heavy transport and plant equipment in Gilgit. The procurement comprises supply and installation of tyres for a Sany wheel loader (estimated cost PKR 1,699,926), supply of tyres for a Hino Dumper FM8j with minor repair services for a flat body truck (PKR 1,822,000), and a third supply of tyres for a Sany wheel loader (PKR 1,583,526). These are maintenance-focused contracts with closing dates on 9 October 2026 at staggered times (11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM respectively) at the Executive Engineer's office near Eidgah Konodass in Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan province.
Eligible bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration in Category C-06 and above, with validity extending to 30 September 2026, and must submit renewal fees for the current financial year 2026-27. Bidders are required to provide bid security in the form of a CDR (Cash Deposit Receipt) from a scheduled bank of Pakistan, ranging from PKR 31,670 to PKR 36,440 depending on the contract. Additionally, prospective contractors must furnish no sick scheme and no litigation certificates issued by the Chief Engineer C&WD Gilgit-Baltistan, along with a valid CNIC.
Bidding documents are available from the Executive Engineer's office upon written application and submission of original documents, with tender form costs of PKR 4,000 per contract. Only the original contractor or, in case of joint ventures, the lead and associate partners named in the partnership deed are authorised to collect documents; attorney holders must provide judicial stamp papers duly signed by the owner and attested by a Public Notary. Sealed tenders will be opened 30 minutes after the stated closing time. All bid securities will be retained until tender acceptance and subsequently refunded. The GB C&WD reserves the right to reject any or all bids under GB PPRA Rules.
