Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Transport Company invites bids from insurance firms for the provision of group life insurance coverage for PTC employees during the financial year 2026-27. This is a single-stage, one-envelope procurement under the least-cost method as per Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 (amended). The insurance coverage will commence from 16th November 2026 and extend until 15th November 2027. The procuring agency has received budget allocation from the Government of Punjab and intends to apply these funds towards eligible payments under the contract. The tender is issued by PTC Headquarter in Lahore and is open to prospective bidders meeting specified eligibility criteria.
Eligible bidders must be insurance companies or groups of companies with a minimum AA rating from PACRA or JCR-VIS, and must be registered with all relevant registration authorities and tax departments including Income Tax and Sales Tax authorities. Bidders shall not have been blacklisted by the procuring agency. A bid security of PKR 150,000 (within 5% of the estimated price) must be submitted digitally through the Punjab E-Procurement System using 1Link or Bank Guarantee options. The security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders upon completion of the procurement process or after issuance of the purchase order to the successful bidder.
Bid documents are available for download from the websites of the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, the Punjab E-Procurement System, and the PTC website. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Punjab E-Procurement System on or before 8th October 2026 at 11:00 AM. Hard copies submitted by hand or courier will not be accepted. Bid opening will occur at 11:30 AM on the same day through the e-procurement portal. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, 29th September 2026 at 11:00 AM at PTC Headquarter, Hamdard Chowk, Township, Lahore.
