Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General of Antiquities and Archaeology, Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department of the Government of Sindh invites sealed bids for the conservation, preservation and rehabilitation of Makli, a significant historical site in Sindh. This single-stage two-envelope tender is open to all contractors and firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2026-27 under SPRA Rules 2010 as amended to date. The project has a completion period of 10 months with an estimated tender fee of PKR 5,000 and falls under PEC Category C-5 or above. The call deposit or pay order requirement is PKR 1,800,000.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council and classified in PEC Category C-5 or above. Bidders are required to submit bid security in the form of a call deposit, pay order or demand draft or bank guarantee in favor of the DDO Directorate Archaeology, Directorate General of Antiquities & Archives Department, Government of Sindh. The bid security must be submitted online via the E-PAD system along with the tender fee instrument and a copy of the original bid security document.
Bidding documents are available for download from the SPPRA and EPADS portals at https://portalsindh.eprocure.gov.pk with effect from 13 October 2026. Bidders must be registered on EPADS and submit duly completed bids electronically through the EPADS portal on or before 13 October 2026 up to 03:00 PM. Technical proposals will be opened at 04:30 PM on 13 October 2026 at the Conservation Officer's office at Bunglow C-82, Block 2, Clifton, Karachi. Manual and conditional bids will not be accepted. The bid security will remain valid for 28 days beyond the bid validity period.
