For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender, written with AI from the official notice and checked by our quality rules — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

High-value specialized procurement of 1,320 tissue-cultured datepalm plants (Ajwa, Barhee, Medjoul varieties) for research orchard establishment.

Rs. 66 crore contract suggests import-dependent supply chain requiring biotech lab credentials and phyto-sanitary compliance. Critical differentiators: mandatory DNA fingerprinting reports from exporting country and pathogen-free certification impose significant upstream vendor control. One-off research project with tight 90-day rate validity and demanding delivery standards (safe condition requirement). Bidders must navigate dual-envelope procurement and 10% performance guarantee obligation.

Who can bid: Bidders must be FBR-registered for Sales Tax and Income Tax with proof attached. Typically, horticultural suppliers must hold provincial agriculture department nursery licenses and demonstrate compliance with plant import regulations (Ministry of Food Security). No explicit PEC requirement stated, though typical practice may require horticultural expertise certification. Foreign exporters likely require Pakistani registered agent or partnership.
