Description / Scope of Work
The Water & Power Department Gilgit-Baltistan, Civil Engineering Division Gilgit-Ghizer invites sealed tenders from approved and enlisted government contractors and firms for reconstruction of a retaining wall, cleaning of public channel, and cutting of vertical cliff adjacent to the channel at 850 KW HPS Parri. The project is valued at Rs. 4.300 million and represents a critical infrastructure maintenance undertaking in Gilgit-Baltistan province. The work scope encompasses structural restoration and channel maintenance to ensure operational integrity of the hydroelectric installation and associated public infrastructure in the region.
Eligible bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in the relevant category, duly renewed for 2026-2027, and must have paid their renewal fee with the Water & Power Department Gilgit-Baltistan for the current year. Bidders must provide earnest money equivalent to two percent of the project cost with their bidding documents. Contractors debarred by any region or division and notified by the Water & Power Secretariat are ineligible. The tender process will be governed by GB-PPRA rules in accordance with all applicable regulations and procurement guidelines.
Bidding documents are available from the Office of the Executive Engineer, Civil Engineering Division, W&P Department Gilgit-Ghizer during office hours on non-refundable cash payment of Rs. 4,000. Interested contractors must submit a written application along with CDR and original PEC registration certificate in person. Sealed tenders must be submitted on or before 09-11-2026 at 12:00 PM sharp, with opening scheduled for the same date at 1:00 PM sharp. The bid security required is Rs. 86,000.
