The Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh in Karachi, Sindh invites sealed proposals for the selection of consultants to conduct a comprehensive study for the widening and river training of an existing narrow bridge on the River Indus. This critical infrastructure project, managed by the Research Division in Karachi, seeks professional consultancy services to address hydraulic bottlenecks and enhance flood resilience. The scope of work involves detailed data collection, hydraulic flow modeling, structural health assessments of existing piers and decks, and the design of river training works such as guide bunds and spurs. The project requires an estimated fifty seven professional staff months of expertise, including roles for structural engineers, hydraulic modelers, and river morphologists. All interested firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council and relevant tax authorities. Proposals must be submitted via the EPADS portal using the Quality and Cost Based Selection method.
