Description / Scope of Work
The Pakistan Meteorological Department in Islamabad, Federal Government invites sealed tenders from experienced and financially sound firms for the repair and maintenance of specialized meteorological and electronic equipment. This tender covers a wide range of technical services required for the upkeep of sophisticated weather monitoring systems, satellite ground stations, and data processing hardware located at various stations across the country. Interested bidders must be registered with the relevant income tax and sales tax departments and should have a proven track record in handling high-precision scientific instruments. The scope of work includes the replacement of faulty components, regular calibration, and emergency troubleshooting to ensure uninterrupted weather forecasting services. Bidding documents containing complete technical specifications, terms, and conditions can be obtained from the PMD headquarters in Islamabad during official business hours. Proposals must be prepared in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) guidelines and submitted with the necessary bid security. All technical and financial bids must reach the designated office no later than 11:00 AM on 27 May 2026, where they will be opened in the presence of authorized representatives.
