Description / Scope of Work
The Irrigation Department, Government of the Punjab in Sheikhupura, Punjab invites sealed tenders for the desilting of various channels within the Upper Gugera Division for the year 2025-2026. This critical maintenance project involves the desilting and cleaning of multiple distributaries and minors, including the Ahmadpur Distributary, Jurian Minor, and various reaches of the Upper Gugera Canal system. The works are divided into twenty-seven distinct lots, with estimated costs ranging from approximately 0.2 million to 2.8 million Rupees per lot. Eligible contractors must be enlisted with the Irrigation Department for the current financial year and possess valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council and Punjab Revenue Authority. Bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the Executive Engineer, Upper Gugera Division, Sheikhupura upon payment of prescribed tender fees. Technical and financial bids must be submitted in accordance with the Punjab Procurement Rules. The deadline for the submission of tenders is 11:30 AM on 21 May 2026, and bids will be opened publicly at 12:00 PM on the same day.
