Description / Scope of Work
The Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (SIOVS) in Hyderabad is inviting quotations for the supply of Intra Ocular Lenses (IOLs) with injectors and related consumable items under the Cataract Support project implemented by CBM International. The procurement scope includes 2000 units of foldable IOLs manufactured in the UK, USA, or Japan that are FDA approved, 2000 ophthalmic surgical knives with 2.8 mm point tips, 2000 disposable eye surgical drapes of high quality, and 1500 units of HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) eye gels. All items are required to be delivered to SIOVS Hyderabad within the agreed delivery schedule following issuance of the Purchase Order. The tender emphasizes quality standards and regulatory compliance for medical supplies used in ophthalmic surgical procedures.
Supplier eligibility requirements include possession of a valid NTN Certificate, GST Registration Certificate, Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status, valid Drug License where applicable, and Authorized Dealership Certificate if applicable. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in similar supplies, provide references from previous clients, and possess relevant regulatory certifications or DRAP approvals. Bid evaluation shall be based on technical compliance, product quality, regulatory certifications, delivery timeline, previous experience, warranty and shelf life considerations, and financial competitiveness. The lowest price alone will not be the sole basis for contract award, and SIOVS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations.
Quotations must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked as "Quotation for Intra Ocular Lenses (IOLs) and Consumable Items" and must reach SIOVS on or before 25 May 2026 through courier service only. SIOVS shall not be responsible for delays caused by courier services. Rates must be quoted in Pakistani Rupees inclusive of all applicable taxes and must remain valid for at least 30 days from the closing date. Payment shall be made through cross cheque after deduction of applicable taxes.
