Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Irrigation Department invites sealed bids for remodeling and protection of critical reaches of Thatta Mahla Flood Bund and Jhang Flood Protection Bund in Jhang District, Punjab under the 1st Bi-Annual Market Rate System (1st January 2026 to 30th June 2026). The estimated cost of civil works including PST is Rs. 346,648,197 with a contract completion period extending to 30 June 2027. This tender is issued by the Executive Engineer, Jhang Division under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) e-Tendering System and e-Punjab Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) in accordance with PPRA Rules 2014 as amended.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) holding specialization code CE-04 with a minimum C-3 License category and be registered with Punjab PPRA. Contractors must provide valid PEC registration for 2025-26, government receipt for professional tax payment, CNIC, enlistment or renewal fee, and registration with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for 2025-26. The earnest money or bid security is fixed at 5 percent of the estimated cost (Rs. 17,332,410) and must be submitted as a Bank Guarantee or Call Deposit Receipt from a scheduled bank in Pakistan in favor of the Executive Engineer, Jhang Division. Bid validity period is 3 months from the opening date.
Bid documents are available free of cost on the EPADS website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk and the PPRA website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. Interested contractors must upload bids on EPADS by 08.06.2026 at 02:00 PM, with original CDR or Bank Guarantee and attested PEC registration copies submitted to the Chief Engineer, Faisalabad Irrigation Zone by 02:30 PM on the same date. Bid opening will be held on 08.06.2026 at 02:30 PM at the office of Chief Engineer, Faisalabad Irrigation Zone. The lowest responsive bidder shall furnish a Performance Guarantee at 10 percent of contract amount as per clause 56 of PPRA Rules 2014. Manual bids submitted by hand or through means other than EPADS will not be accepted.
