This document presents the revised contract form for execution of work updated on 16 November 2022, applicable to procurement and construction projects in Punjab province. It establishes the framework for contractors to submit sealed bids for various work assignments, including specifications for earnest money deposits, tender validity periods, and quality assurance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Eligibility requirements for bidders include provision of earnest money as security, submission of sealed tenders containing complete bid schedules with rates and quantities, and demonstration of technical capability through submission of programmes of work when required by the Engineer-in-charge. Contractors must possess appropriate licenses and comply with all statutory regulations, income tax obligations, and health and safety requirements. The bid security and performance guarantee provisions ensure contractor commitment and work quality standards throughout contract execution.
Tender documents are available for purchase at a specified cost, with sealed bids to be submitted by the closing deadline for opening in the presence of bidders or their representatives. The tender process is conducted confidentially with evaluation based on rates, technical merit, and compliance with specification requirements. Contract award notification, signing of the formal contract agreement, and provision of copies to successful tenderers follow the standard procurement procedures outlined in the General Directions for Tenders section, ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection process across all government works projects in Punjab.
