Description / Scope of Work
The Engineering Development Board (EDB) under the Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan, invites expressions of interest (EOI) from EV 2-wheeler original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and assemblers for fast-track deployment of 100,000 electric bikes under the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Program aligned with the National Electric Vehicle Policy 2025–30. This initiative aims at rapid scale-up of EV adoption through immediate utilization of available production capacity and CKD inventory while ensuring quality, affordability, and social value addition across Pakistan's federal territory. The program target encompasses 100,000 electric bikes with an implementation period of 90 days for fast-track deployment, structured in 200 batches of 500 units each, with a subsidy of PKR 80,000 per e-bike according to approved framework. Allocation mechanism employs competitive bidding with proportionate allocation in case of over-subscription to ensure fair distribution among qualified manufacturers and assemblers.
