Description / Scope of Work
The Irrigation Department, Government of the Punjab, Bahawalnagar Circle, Hakra Canal Division invites item rate tenders for the strengthening of weak E.F flood bund from reach RD.33+900 to 49+950 in Fortabbas Canal Sub Division of Hakra Canal Division. The estimated cost of this critical irrigation infrastructure project is Rs.48,30,725 with a completion deadline of 22 June 2026. This work encompasses earthwork excavation and dressing, masonry mile gauge pillars, RD marks installation, cement concrete work, brick masonry, cement plaster, painting, and boundary pillar placement across the specified canal reach in Bahawalnagar.
The earnest money requirement is Rs.1,44,922. Contractors must be the original recipient of the tender form; tenders submitted by other parties will be rejected. The tender is issued by the Executive Engineer, Hakra Canal Division, Bahawalnagar, and is sanctioned vide Chief Engineer Bahawalpur letter No.3893-WE dated 25.05.2026. The bill of quantity includes detailed items such as borrowpit excavation in ordinary soil measured in percentage cubic feet, dressing and levelling of earthwork, cement concrete brick work, pacca brick masonry up to 10 feet height, cement plaster finishing, surface preparation and emulsion painting with multiple coats, and placement of boundary pillars and RD marks.
Prospective contractors should submit their tenders with the required cash deposit receipt (CDR) containing the earnest money amount and bank details as specified in the tender document. The tender document provides a complete bill of quantity with estimated quantities for all construction items, and contractors are required to quote their rates against each item. Bids must be submitted to the Hakra Canal Division office in Bahawalnagar within the prescribed deadline, and the tender opening will be conducted by the authorized officer according to the tender schedule.
