Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Transport Company invites prequalification applications from experienced, reputable firms and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to participate in an international competitive bidding process for the manufacturing and supply of seventy (70) pure electric buses comprising nine (9) meter and twelve (12) meter articulated city buses, along with associated charging infrastructure, spare parts, and support services for the Induction of Eco-Friendly Buses in Lahore Division, Punjab. The project encompasses the supply of buses with warranty coverage as specified in the prequalification documents, aimed at modernizing public transport in Lahore with environmentally sustainable vehicles.
Successful applicants must demonstrate capability in the manufacturing and supply of pure electric buses, provision of comprehensive operation and maintenance programs including vehicle homologation, driver training, registration services, and after-sales support as detailed in the prequalification document. Bidders must submit their prequalification applications electronically via the PPRA Portal (EPADIS) at https://epadis.ppra.gop.pk on or before 1100 hours PST on Thursday July 09, 2026, with opening scheduled for the same day at 1130 hours PST, or the next official business day if a holiday falls on the closing date. Interested bidders must also register their firms on the PPRA Portal for additional guidance and support.
The prequalification documents and advertisements are available for download from the websites of the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, Transport Department Government of Punjab, and Punjab Transport Company. Technical and financial bids will only be entertained from prequalified firms in accordance with the Punjab Procurement Rules 2014.
