Description / Scope of Work
This is a three-year pre-qualification and procurement notice for cafeteria food service operations in Sindh province. The contractor is required to prepare and serve lunch and dinner to all deputed staff, guests, and visitors at the operations location. The scope of work includes complete setup of food preparation facilities, meal service, and comprehensive maintenance of the cafeteria premises. The contractor must possess adequate equipment, utensils, and infrastructure to operate a full-scale canteen service with professional kitchen and dining facilities. The contract period extends for three years from the award date, with commencement required within the stipulated period as per contract terms.
Eligibility criteria require the contractor to employ workers with substantial experience in large-scale canteens, hostels, and messes with demonstrated knowledge and aptitude for preparing various types of food. The contractor must ensure employees possess proper food safety training and work under a qualified supervisor appointed by the contractor. High standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety must be maintained throughout operations. All utensils including plates, cups, katoris, water glasses, spoons, forks, and knives must be provided by the contractor at his or her own cost, with the contractor bearing full responsibility for any loss or damage to items. Cleaners shall not be engaged for kitchen work duties.
The contractor must ensure kitchen, dining hall, hand wash areas, and dish wash areas are washed with water and soap solution and mopped after every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), with disinfection required every twenty to twenty-five days or as needed. Garbage from kitchen and dining areas must be collected and disposed daily through garbage vans in closed bins, with all surrounding canteen premises cleaned and washed daily. Tables must be cleaned and wiped between meal service batches. All cooking vessels and utensils must be properly cleaned and dried with soap solution immediately after each meal.
