Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highway Department invites tenders from registered engineering firms and contractors for two major infrastructure projects in Rawalpindi district under the PPRA E-Tendering System. The first project involves special repair of Gulistan Colony Lane No. 3 in Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of PKR 12.186 million and a completion period of three months. The second project encompasses construction of an underpass and flyover at Jinnah Park (Annexy Chowk) on Airport Road in Rawalpindi, along with material supply, fabrication, installation of a prefabricated pedestrian bridge, and retrofitting work at Katchery Chowk Main Road, with an estimated cost of PKR 4.216 million and a three-month completion timeline. Both projects are being undertaken by the Highway Division Rawalpindi under the Communication and Works Department, Government of Punjab.
Only contractors and engineering firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category or codes are eligible to participate. All prospective bidders must register on the Punjab PPRA website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk before submitting their proposals. Bid security in the form of a CDR (Cash Deposit Receipt) is mandatory at two percent of the estimated cost, payable to the Executive Engineer Highway Division Rawalpindi. Original CDR documents must be submitted half an hour before the tender opening; failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification. The lowest evaluated bidder must submit a performance guarantee of five percent of the bid amount within fifteen days of notification.
Bid submission and all documentation must be completed electronically on the PPRA website at http://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/ViewTender.aspx before the closing deadline. The tender opening will take place on 30 June 2026 at 2:30 PM at the office of the Commissioner in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee, where the lowest quoted rate will be announced. Item-wise and total rates must be quoted explicitly; percentage-based rates will not be accepted.
