Description / Scope of Work
The US Embassy Islamabad invites quotations for the supply of 50 sets of wall-mounted DC inverter air conditioning units with cooling and heating capability. The procurement is for DAIKIN brand units or equivalent models meeting specified technical requirements including 2-ton capacity, 24000 BTU rating, R-410A or R32 refrigerant, reluctance DC motor compressor, 220-240V single-phase 50Hz power supply, and ISO 5151 compliance with CE or URL safety certification. The units must have rated power consumption of 2380W cooling and 2460W heating with running currents of 10.40A cooling and 10.80A heating. This is a firm-fixed price purchase order solicitation open to all authorized sellers. The delivery location is the US Embassy Diplomatic Enclave in Islamabad, Pakistan, with deliveries accepted only Monday to Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Bidders must be authorized sellers of their brand with a physical business address and demonstrated good financial health. Quotations must include a list of clients to whom similar items were sold within the last two years, evidence of business address, and confirmation of acceptance of Net 30 days payment terms. The bid validity period is 30 days from the closing date. Vendors are responsible for complete door-to-door delivery including all inland clearances and customs documentation without assistance from the Embassy. Risk Assessment Management vetting will be required after contract award. Quotations must be submitted on company letterhead in accordance with all requested specifications.
Quotations must be submitted electronically to TaqiSM@state.gov with the subject line "Quotation for RFQ# 19PK3326Q1041 – Supply of DC Inverter Air Conditioning Units" on or before close of business Friday, July 16, 2026. Delivery is required within 10-15 days of purchase order receipt. Payment will be processed through electronic funds transfer within 30 days of receipt of correct invoice and satisfactory delivery. Embassy representatives will inspect units at delivery to verify quality, specifications, and brand compliance; any non-conforming items will be returned without payment. The US Embassy is exempt from applicable taxes; quotations must be tax-free with tax exemption certification provided by the Embassy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 45-60 days.
