Description / Scope of Work
Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO), Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, invites sealed bids from qualified, experienced manufacturers, authorized dealers, and suppliers for the purchase of high-quality buses. This procurement is conducted under Rule 39(b) of the Gilgit-Baltistan Public Procurement Rules 2022 using the Single Stage-Two Envelopes bidding procedure. The buses will be equipped with advanced features meeting international standards and are intended for operation on various routes across Pakistan and China to provide safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation services to the public. Only firms registered with income tax and sales tax departments are eligible to participate in this tender.
Eligible bidders must obtain tender documents from the NATCO Islamabad office at Plot 48, Faqir Aipee Road, Sector I-11/4, Islamabad, or the NATCO Head Office at Shahrah Quaid-e-Azam Jutial, Gilgit, during working hours upon submission of a written request and a non-refundable pay order of Rs. 10,000 in favor of M/S NATCO. Tender documents are also available for download from the official website at www.natco.gov.pk. All bidders are required to submit a bid security deposit of Rs. 10 million, which will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders upon completion of the bidding process. The supplier will be responsible for all applicable taxes.
Complete and correct bids must be submitted to the NATCO Head Office in Gilgit on or before July 8, 2026, up to 12:00 PM. Bids will be opened on the same day at 12:30 PM by the respective committee in the presence of bidders' authorized representatives. The bid opening and evaluation procedure will follow Rule 39(b) of the GB PPRA Rules 2022. NATCO reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids at any time before acceptance of proposals in accordance with PPRA regulations.
