Description / Scope of Work
Municipal Corporation Murree invites bids for making arrangements for the celebration of 14th August 2026, Pakistan's Independence Day. This tender is being floated through the newly introduced E-Tendering System in compliance with PPRA Rules 2014 (as amended). The procurement will be conducted entirely online via the Punjab E-Procurement portal at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/auth/login, with tender documents available for download from the same platform. The project is located in Murree, Punjab province, and involves coordination of celebration logistics and event management services for a national commemorative occasion.
Eligibility is restricted to contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Interested bidders must first register their firms on the Punjab E-Procurement System website by submitting requisite information. A bid security equivalent to five percent of the estimated cost must be submitted electronically through the portal; physical instruments such as CDRs, pay orders or bank guarantees are not acceptable. Contractors must quote item-wise rates only and are required to submit bids by 08.08.2026 at 01:30 PM. The notice explicitly warns that false information, fake CDRs or fake tender fee deposit slips will result in disqualification under PPRA Rules and potential referral to PEC and PPRA for legal action. Additionally, if the lowest bidder's quote is more than five percent below the DNIT, the bidder must deposit the difference as quality insurance security within fifteen days of tender opening, failing which the bid stands cancelled and earnest money is forfeited.
Tenders will be opened on 08.08.2026 at 02:30 PM at the office of Municipal Corporation Murree in the presence of the Tenders Opening Committee and contractors or their representatives. Only applicants who pass document scrutiny will be considered; provincial applications are not acceptable. Quotations downloaded from the website will be announced the same day at 03:00 PM. Bidders are advised to carefully review all terms and conditions and ensure compliance with electronic submission requirements as outlined in the invitation to bid document.
