Description / Scope of Work
The B&R Division Skardu invites sealed bids for the construction, widening and metalling of road GBA-7 in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan. This is a single-stage two-envelope procurement advertised under PPRA Rule 2004 and relevant GB procurement guidelines. The estimated project cost is Rs. 97.056 million with a bid security requirement of Rs. 2.912 million. The scope encompasses road widening and metalling works in the Skardu region, a key infrastructure project in the northern territories of Pakistan. Tender documents will close on 27 August 2026 at 11:00 AM with bids to be opened the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Bid Evaluation Committee at GB PWD Skardu or Shigar Circle Skardu.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-4 or above as per relevant codes, hold current Professional Engineer Registration for the financial year 2026-27, maintain valid GB Construction and Works Department renewal receipts, and possess appropriate experience under PPRA Rule 2004 Rule 36(b). Bidders must submit CNIC of the prospective firm, latest profile documentation from the PEC website, and mandatory no-sick-scheme and no-litigation certificates as specified. Bid security shall be submitted in the form of a call deposit receipt from any scheduled bank. All bidders are required to complete an affidavit on judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100 and submit properly certified documentation.
Bidding documents are available for a non-refundable fee of Rs. 12000 in the form of treasury challan from the Treasury Officer or NBP Skardu Branch showing the project name and contractor details. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 20 August 2026 at 02:30 PM in the office of the Chairman Bid Evaluation Committee at GB PWD Skardu. Bidders must submit two sets of complete documents to the Executive Engineer and one duplicate to the relevant Chief Engineer for transparency.
