Description / Scope of Work
The Gilgit-Baltistan Communication & Works Department invites sealed tenders for widening of shingle road from KKH to Paidandass on both sides at Juglote, Gilgit (remaining section). The estimated project cost is PKR 7,616,200 and the work is to be executed in Gilgit-Baltistan region. This is a civil infrastructure development project aimed at improving road connectivity in the mountainous terrain of Gilgit. The tender is open to eligible firms and contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in appropriate category and code, with PEC registration valid until 31st August 2026.
Eligible bidders must hold PEC registration in Category C-06 and above, valid until 31st August 2026, and must provide renewal fee for CFY 2026-27. A bid security (CDR) of PKR 152,324 from a scheduled bank of Pakistan is required, clearly mentioning the contractor or firm name. Bidders must submit original CNIC, no sick scheme certificate, and no litigation certificate issued by the Chief Engineer C&WD Gilgit-Baltistan. The original contractor or lead partner (in case of joint venture) must collect tender documents personally; authorization through judicial stamp paper and public notary attestation is permitted.
Prospective bidders can obtain complete bidding documents from the Office of the Executive Engineer B&R Division near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit upon submission of a written application and original documents, with a tender document cost of PKR 6,000. Sealed tenders must be submitted by 03-09-2026 at 01:00 PM at the office venue. Tender opening will take place 30 minutes after the closing time. All bid securities will be retained until tender acceptance and refunded thereafter. The GB C&WD authorities reserve the right to reject any or all bids under GB PPRA Rules.
