Description / Scope of Work
The Communication & Works Department of Gilgit-Baltistan, B&R Division Hunza, invites sealed tenders for two major road infrastructure projects under Single Stage One Envelope (SSOE) procedure. The first project involves construction, widening and metalling of a 16.5 feet wide link road from Danlat Astana to Brong-e-Bago in Karimabad, Hunza, valued at PKR 8,891,363. The second project comprises widening of roads from Taltaqdas to Hydarabad with stone pitching, including construction of a 22 feet wide link road from Taltakdas to Tunnel Road at Aliabad, a 16.5 feet wide link road from Taltakdas to Aliabad Graveyard, and widening work at Boys Degree College Aliabad, with an estimated cost of PKR 38,113,938. Both projects are located in the Hunza region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Eligible bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration for 2026-27 in Category C6 and above for the first project and C5 and above for the second, with appropriate specialization codes. Bidders must submit current C&WD renewal fee receipts, valid CNIC, and certificates confirming no sick scheme involvement and no ongoing litigation. Bid security in the form of CDRs or bank guarantees from scheduled Pakistani banks is mandatory, set at PKR 177,827 for project one and PKR 762,279 for project two. Only project-specific Powers of Attorney executed on judicial stamp paper and attested by First-Class Magistrates are accepted.
Bidding documents are available from the office of the Executive Engineer, B&R Division Hunza, upon submission of written application and payment of non-refundable fees of PKR 6,000 for project one and PKR 10,000 for project two, payable through Treasury Challan. Sealed bids must be delivered on or before 22 September 2026 at 11:30 AM for project one and 1:00 PM for project two, with opening scheduled for the same day at 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM respectively.
