PSO seeks 10 units of intrinsically safe digital VHF radios with base stations for hazardous location deployment at Keamari Terminal.
This is a specialist procurement requiring PTA-approved, UL/TIA-certified equipment meeting stringent hazmat standards (Division 1 Class I-III and Division 2). The specification is technologically advanced—DMR Tier II/III compliant, IP68-rated, with GNSS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AES 256 encryption mandatory. Compatibility with PSO's existing analogue fleet is critical. Tight deadline (16 days) and requirement for authorized OEM distributorship with Pakistani service centers will filter bidders to established vendors only. One-off procurement, not framework.
Who can bid: Bidders must hold current authorization (distributorship, franchise, or representative certificate) from the radio manufacturer recognized by Pakistan Telecommunications Authority. Typically, suppliers of hazardous-area rated equipment require SECP registration, active NTN, and demonstrated technical capacity. PTA approval of the specific equipment model is mandatory, as is certified presence of service centers in major Pakistani cities.
