Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Irrigation Department invites encrypted electronic bids from eligible contractors and firms for concrete lining work on two sections of the Bahawalpur Canal in Punjab. The first project involves concrete lining of SL/DB Disty from Rd:8+400 to Rd:13+300 (Tail) with an estimated cost of Rs. 22,091,723 (excluding PST) and an earnest money requirement of Rs. 662,752, to be completed within 365 days. The second project covers concrete lining of 2L/DB Disty from Rd:11+450 to Rd:26+500 (Tail) with an estimated cost of Rs. 65,729,542 (excluding PST) and earnest money of Rs. 1,971,886, also with a 365-day completion period. Both works are located in Bahawalpur and fall under the scope of irrigation infrastructure development in the Bahawalpur area.
Eligible bidders must be registered on the e-PADS Punjab Portal with valid registration and PEC license in Category C-2 or above for the current financial year FY 2026-27. Contractors and firms registered with relevant bodies including FBR, PRA, NTNPNTN, and PPRA may participate in the tendering process under the Punjab Public Procurement Rules, 2014 (as amended). Bid security equivalent to 3% of the estimated cost or bid price must be furnished in the form of a Bank Guarantee or other permissible financial instrument processed through the Bank of Punjab (BOP) in accordance with PPRA rules and Service Level Agreements.
Bid documents are available for download from the e-PADS portal (https://eprocedure.gov.pk) and PPRA websites (http://eproc.punjab.govt.pk/Active_Tenders.aspx and https://eprocure.gov.pk). Electronic bids must be submitted through e-PADS on or before 23 September 2026 at 2:00 PM, with tender opening scheduled for the same day at 2:30 PM at the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Bahawalpur Canal Circle. Detailed work specifications and drawings are available for inspection at the office of the Executive Engineer, Bahawalpur Canal Division, Bahawalpur. Bid validity is 120 days, and all submissions must comply with latest PPRA instructions and Government of Punjab directives.
