Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General of Food and Cane Commissioner, Punjab invites technical and financial bids from eligible and experienced carriage contractor firms for transportation of imported wheat during Scheme Year 2026-27. The work shall be carried out from designated ports and entry points including Port Qasim, Kemari and Gwadar to specified receiving centres and storage points designated by the Department. The transportation and shifting period shall be 90 days with a bid validity of 180 days. The procurement shall be conducted electronically through the Government of Punjab e-Procurement Portal (e-PADS) in accordance with the Punjab Public Procurement Rules 2014 as amended and the Transportation Policy of the Department.
Eligible bidders must be registered with relevant authorities and must submit a bid security of 3 percent of the prescribed or estimated tender value. A performance security of 7 percent shall be required at the time of agreement. This is an open tender with participation not limited to any prequalified firms, allowing all experienced transportation contractors to submit their bids.
Bidders may obtain bid documents from the e-PADS portal and must submit both technical and financial bids online. The bid closing date is 28 September 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical opening scheduled for 11:45 AM on the same day. The procuring agency is located at 04-Lytton Road, Lahore. All submissions must be made through the e-Procurement Punjab e-PADS system in compliance with the bidding document requirements.
