Description / Scope of Work

Legal Aid Society, a not-for-profit non-governmental organization based in Karachi, Sindh, invites sealed bids from registered suppliers in Pakistan for the supply and delivery of IT equipment comprising servers, storage, network devices and accessories. The tender is divided into two lots: Lot 1 covers server, storage and network equipment including four rackmount servers with Intel Xeon Gold processors, two NAS storage units with 16TB drives, four managed network switches with 48 gigabit PoE ports, and one high-performance firewall with cryptographic acceleration; Lot 2 covers accessories and cabling including forty wireless mice, sixty CAT8 1.5-metre LAN cables, thirty CAT8 3-metre LAN cables, and five SFP+ 10G DAC cables. Bidders may submit proposals for one or both lots and must provide quotations for all items within any lot they choose to bid for. LAS may award the lots to a single supplier or distribute them among multiple suppliers. The delivery location is the Legal Aid Society office at Block C, First Floor, Finance Trade Center, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

LAS is procuring enterprise-grade IT infrastructure across two separate lots totaling substantial capital equipment spend.

The scope indicates significant network and storage expansion with dual redundancy throughout. The tight eight-day bidding window (publication to closing) and four-day gap from closure to award suggest LAS has pre-qualified vendors or an urgent implementation timeline. Notably, Item 9 (SFP cables) has undefined length requiring post-award confirmation, creating potential ambiguity. This appears a one-off infrastructure refresh rather than recurring spend, suitable for established IT systems integrators with Dell/enterprise server experience and Pakistani registration.

Who can bid: Bidders must be registered suppliers in Pakistan. The notice does not specify PEC category, NTN, SECP registration or insurance requirements. Typically, IT equipment suppliers must hold valid business registration with FBR/NTN and relevant sales tax exemption certificates; vendors should verify LAS's specific qualification criteria with the procurement contact before submission.
