Description / Scope of Work
The Cantonment Board Peshawar invites sealed bids for a five-year tenancy right to operate and manage its newly constructed Rest House located at Tariq Road, Peshawar Cantt, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The property comprises nine bedrooms with attached washrooms, a kitchen, TV lounge, and car parking facilities, spanning 10,304.82 square feet or 37.85 marla. The auction will be conducted on 05 October 2026 at 11:00 AM at the board's office at 5 Khalil Road, Peshawar Cantt under ML&C regulations. The successful bidder's monthly bid amount becomes the rental rate, subject to 10 percent annual escalation during the initial five-year term and 25 percent escalation upon any subsequent renewal.
Eligible bidders must deposit a non-refundable call deposit of Rs. 10,00,000 (ten lac rupees) along with a photocopy of their computerized national identity card before bidding commences. Following approval, the successful bidder must deposit three months' advance rent as security within seven days and execute a tenancy agreement within 15 days at their own cost. Bidders who are defaulters of the Cantonment Board or any institution, or who are blacklisted, are prohibited from participation. The property may be transferred with board approval, subject to applicable transfer fees.
Bid documents are available from the Executive Officer at the Cantonment Board office. The successful bidder bears full responsibility for repairs, maintenance, utilities (electricity, gas, telephone), cleanliness, and property inspections by the board. Rent must be deposited in advance by the 5th of each month; failure to do so incurs a fine of Rs. 5,000 per day, and delays exceeding 10 days result in cancellation of tenancy rights and forfeiture of security. The tenancy may be renewed for a maximum of two additional five-year terms after the initial period; beyond 15 years total tenure, the property shall be re-auctioned. Any disputes are subject to arbitration by the Director, Military Lands & Cantonments Peshawar, and tenants waive court jurisdiction.
