Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Prisons Department, Government of the Punjab, through the Central Jail Rawalpindi, invites bids for the procurement of dietary articles (wheat FAQ) under a single-stage two-envelope procedure. The estimated quantity is 50,000 kilograms with an estimated cost of PKR 5,000,000 and a bid security of PKR 100,000. This procurement is being conducted through the E-Procurement Punjab portal in accordance with Punjab Procurement Authority Act 2009 and Punjab Procurement Rules 2014. The goods are required for the jail facility located in Rawalpindi, Punjab.
Eligible bidders include suppliers, sole proprietors, associations of firms, companies, authorized dealers and distributors registered with relevant authorities and tax departments including SECP, Income Tax, and Sales Tax. Bidders must be registered with the E-Procurement Punjab portal and shall not be blacklisted, associated with consultants engaged for bid document preparation, or possess a direct association with sister concerns involved in similar procurement. Government-owned enterprises may participate only with proper authorization from competent authorities.

Bids must be submitted online by 02:00 hours on 07.10.2026, with opening scheduled for 02:30 hours the same day. Bidders are required to submit a 2% performance guarantee via call deposit receipt upon bid award.
