Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) is conducting a public auction of defence stores scrap on 7 October 2026 at the HIT facility in Taxila Cantonement, Punjab. The auction comprises 23 lots of various scrap materials including iron, aluminum, steel, brass, copper, and non-metal items such as leather, plastic, rubber, cotton cloth, and IT scrap, along with used oil, steel drums, batteries, tyres, and machinery of various types. Inspection of the defence stores will be permitted from 2 October 2026 to 6 October 2026 during official office hours from 0800 to 1600 hours. Valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is mandatory for entry to HIT facility through Gate Number 5. The Chairman HIT Board reserves the absolute right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reason, and all decisions are final.
Successful bidders are required to deposit 25 percent of the bid amount in cash at the time of bidding, with the remaining 75 percent plus applicable General Sales Tax and Income Tax to be paid within 10 days of the sale. All scrap materials must be removed at the bidder's own expense within 15 days of receiving the notice of acceptance. The bidder bears all costs associated with truck weighing and demilitarization. Failure to deposit the balance within the stipulated 10-day period will result in cancellation of lot allotment and forfeiture of the initial 25 percent deposit to Heavy Industries Taxila.
