The Irrigation Department in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab invites sealed bids for the remodeling and protection of critical reaches along the Khanwah Flood Bund. This comprehensive civil works project involves extensive earthwork, including the excavation of over 9.4 million cubic feet of soil from borrow pits and the subsequent transportation and compaction of earth using power road rollers to reach 90 percent maximum modified AASHO dry density. The scope of work also requires significant stone and bajri interventions, specifically providing and laying stone pitching on slopes and level surfaces, alongside various grades of crushed bajri filter layers. Contractors are responsible for the carriage of stone from the Sakhi Sarwar quarry, covering leads of up to 200 kilometers. Additional tasks include providing brick-on-end road edging across 124,200 running feet and the excavation of drains and irrigation channels using heavy machinery like excavators or draglines. Eligible firms must provide rates for these multiple line items as per the provided Bill of Quantities to ensure the structural integrity and flood protection capabilities of the bund.
