Description / Scope of Work
The Irrigation Division Chitral invites electronic bids from eligible contractors through the EPADS portal for the construction of flood protection works and irrigation channels under ADP No.2124/250805. This comprehensive project encompasses four sub-works with a combined estimated cost of approximately Rs. 307.5 million, located across Lower and Upper Chitral districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The works include construction of flood protection and flow management structures along the Chitral River and its tributaries from Sinkow to Breze in Lower Chitral (estimated cost Rs. 77.277 million), from Breze bridge to Arandu in Lower Chitral (Rs. 84.883 million), along Mastuj River and tributaries from Green Lasht to Junali Kuch in Upper Chitral (Rs. 75.258 million), and along Torkhow/Mulkoh River and tributaries in Upper Chitral (Rs. 70.047 million). These critical infrastructure projects aim to protect communities and irrigation systems from flood hazards while improving water management capabilities in the region.
Eligible bidders must possess valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration for Financial Year 2025-26 in the relevant category with specialization codes CE-04(ii) or CE-04(vii), active KPRA registration, and active National Tax Number (NTN) registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Bidders are required to submit bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the estimated cost plus stamp duty in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) issued in favor of XEN Irrigation Division Chitral. Additional bid security may be required as specified in the bid solicitation documents. Electronic bidding shall be conducted on an Above or Below System based on the Engineer's Estimate according to the relevant Measurement and Rate Schedule (MRS).
Bid documents are available for download from the KPPRA website (www.irrigation.gkp.pk) and the EPADS portal (https://kp.eprocure.gov.pk/). Bidders must upload their complete bid packages through EPADS before the closing date of 18 June 2026 at 12:00 PM, with bid opening scheduled for the same date at 12:30 PM. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 11 June 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of the Executive Engineer. All bids will remain valid for 90 days from the opening date.
