Description / Scope of Work
The Citrus Research Institute Sargodha, operating under the Government of Punjab's Agriculture Department (Research Wing), invites national competitive bids for the procurement of plant and machinery under the Revival of Citrus Sector in Punjab initiative. This is a single stage two envelope bidding process with reference number _02ROCSIP26. The project aims to support citrus sector development through acquisition of specialized equipment and machinery required for research and operational activities at the institute located in Sargodha, Punjab. Eligible bidders must be registered with the relevant authorities and capable of supplying goods meeting specified technical standards. All bidders must possess valid business registration, tax compliance certificates, and demonstrable experience in supplying similar plant and machinery. Bid security is mandatory as per bidding documents specifications, and bidders must ensure compliance with all eligibility criteria outlined in the instructions to bidders section.
The bidding process follows national competitive bidding guidelines with emphasis on transparency and fair evaluation. Bidders are required to submit complete technical and financial documentation demonstrating that proposed equipment meets or exceeds the technical specifications provided in section three of the bidding documents. Performance guarantees will be required from the successful bidder upon contract award. All machinery and plant must conform to Pakistan standards or internationally recognized equivalents as specified. Bidders must provide certificates of origin, quality assurance documentation, and warranty terms as part of their submission. The procuring agency reserves the right to inspect goods, conduct tests, and reject any items failing to meet specified standards.
Bidding documents are available from the Office of the Chief Scientist, Citrus Research Institute Sargodha, obtainable upon request through the contact office. Bids must be sealed, marked according to prescribed format, and submitted by the deadline of July 2, 2026. Bid opening will occur at the Citrus Research Institute Sargodha following submission of all envelopes.
