Description / Scope of Work
Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Burewala, under the Health & Population Department of the Government of Punjab, invites sealed bids for a framework contract covering multinational, national and local purchase of medicines on a day-to-day basis and local purchase of surgical disposables for the financial year 2026-2027. The procurement is intended to supply essential pharmaceutical and surgical items to support the hospital's operational requirements throughout the fiscal year. Bid security of PKR 350,000 is required, and the contract is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the bidding documents, with response time calculated exclusively from the date of publication on the PPRA website.
Eligible bidders must be firms of good repute with financially sound backgrounds, registered with the sales tax and income tax departments, and involved in running institutional pharmacy business or chain of pharmacies within district Vehari. Bidders must possess a valid retail drug sale license and must not be under declaration of blacklisting by any government department or the Punjab Procuring Regulatory Authority. Government-owned enterprises may participate only if they are legally and financially autonomous and operate under commercial law. Bidders shall not be associated with any consulting firm engaged by the procuring agency for specification preparation.
Bidding documents are accessible through the Punjab e-procurement system portal at https://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/ and the hospital website at https://thqmcn.punjab.gov.pk/. Bidding will be conducted through Open Competitive Bidding using a Single Stage-Two Envelope procedure as specified in the Punjab Procurement Rules PPRA 2014 (amended). Technical bids will be opened on 22 September 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Medical Superintendent's office. Online bid security proof valid for 120 days must accompany all submissions. Bidders are requested to provide best and final prices as no negotiations are expected under PPRA rules. Taxes will be deducted as per applicable government regulations.
