Karachi Port Trust, Stores Department invites electronic bids for e-auction of scrap material on an 'as is where is basis' under the Disposal of Public Assets Regulations 2026. Three lots are being offered for auction: Lot 1 comprises scrap of furniture, hospital equipment, machinery, old mattresses and pillows; Lot 2 consists of dismantled MS pipes with diameters of 8 inches and 16 inches; and Lot 3 includes scrap of iron grill, wooden doors and windows. All lots are located at the central disposal yard, west wharf road in Karachi, Sindh province. Bidding will be conducted through EPADS Version 2.0 electronic platform in accordance with national competitive procurement standards.
All bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue for income tax and sales tax purposes and must be on the Active Taxpayer List. Participants are required to submit an attested copy of their valid CNIC through EPADS. The bid security requirement is equal to 10 percent of the reserve price for each lot. Interested bidders are advised to inspect the lots during office hours at the central disposal yard before submitting their electronic bids. All taxes, levies, duties and other charges will be applied as per Government rules. The decision of the Competent Authority regarding lot allocation shall be final and binding.
Electronic bid documents containing detailed terms, conditions, specifications and requirements are available for registered bidders on EPADS Version 2.0 at https://epads.gov.pk/. Bids must be submitted using EPADS by Monday September 21 2026 at 10:00 AM; manual bids will not be accepted. Electronic bids will be opened on the same day at 10:30 AM.
