Description / Scope of Work
The Water Management & Irrigation Department of Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed tenders for the reconstruction of a damaged water channel located in Murtazaabad, Hunza. The project is valued at PKR 16,696,192 and falls under Category C6 and above with code CE-04. This infrastructure work is critical for irrigation management in the Hunza district and represents a significant civil engineering contract. Bidders must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category and must hold valid PEC registration valid up to 30th June 2027.
Eligible contractors must provide bid security of PKR 500,885 (calculated at 3 percent of the estimated cost) in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from any scheduled bank in Pakistan. Prospective bidders are required to submit original documents including valid PEC registration for 2027, renewal fee slip for CFY 2026-27, CNIC of the prospective bidder, bid security via CDR, and certificates confirming no sick scheme status and no ongoing litigation. If rates quoted fall below 10 percent of estimated cost, an additional performance guarantee of 50 percent of the differential amount between estimated and bid cost must be provided.
Interested bidders can obtain complete bidding documents from the office of the Deputy Director of Water Management & Irrigation Department District Hunza upon submission of a written application and production of original documents, with a bidding document cost of PKR 8,000 to be deposited through Treasury Challan. Sealed bids must be delivered by 16th October 2026 at 11:00 AM, with opening scheduled for the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Deputy Director. All bidding documents fees must be deposited into government treasury via Treasury Challan under prescribed non-tax revenue heads, with the original receipt attached to avoid disqualification.
