The District Auction Committee, Mineral Development Malakand invites applications from registered contractors for participation in an auction to grant Minor Mineral Leases in District Malakand under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act 2017. The auction comprises six blocks on river sand failing in Malakand district, including Block A at Ramna to University Bridge with reserved price of 4,000,000 rupees, Block C-1 at Pir Sodan to Head Wazir Sang valued at 3,410,000 rupees, Block D at Head Wazir to Bathen Bridge priced at 3,800,000 rupees, Block E at Bathen to Marui Bridge valued at 3,360,000 rupees, and one block on Stream Khwar with reserved price of 1,000,000 rupees. The auction will be held on 02/11/2026 at 2:00 PM at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Malakand, on a 'As is where is' basis against reserved price with call deposit as specified under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act 2017.
Only registered contractors with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can participate. Interested parties must submit application forms at a cost of 16,200 rupees, including KPPRA sales tax (non-refundable), on any working day at least 63 days before auction closure on 29/10/2026. Applicants must provide attested copies of CNIC, income tax registration certificates, NTN, partnership deed, and proof of paid-up capital if applicable. Call deposit must be placed under account number 0066-2008129839 at any Bank of Khyber branch, and bidders must pay excise duty as per government rates and surface rent under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act 2017.
Interested bidders can obtain sketches and bid documents from the office of the undersigned during office hours 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM on working days. Bid submission shall be sealed and deposited within three days of auction issuance. The successful bidder must get the lease demarcated within fifteen days, pay excise duty to Commissioner of Mines, and comply with transportation, environmental, and regulatory requirements as per rules and mining provisions of 2022.
